Wave goodbye to winter and slough off spring – it’s time to get that summer glow! Now is the perfect time to repair dry, dull and damaged winter skin and prepare for a beautiful summer.

The cold temperatures and low humidity of winter lead to dry air that can pull moisture out of the skin. When these conditions are combined with indoor heat, the skin’s moisture levels are at an all time low by the time spring comes around.

Step one: exfoliate to refresh

HydraCool Plus for extraction and exfoliation

What is SPN-5?

This potent cocktail is formulated to help support skin regeneration, rejuvenation, and improvement of wrinkles and skin imperfections. What is HA 3.5?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) binds water to collagen, trapping it in the skin, to help skin become plumper, dewier, and more hydrated. This powerful active ingredient restores hydration by holding 1,000 times its own weight in water and penetrates the skin to activate what is known as the CD-44 receptor, which turns on skin’s natural hydration systems.

Step three: maintain and protect

It’s important to protect the skin throughout the summer, to maintain a glowing complexion all season and to avoid the harmful effects of the increased sun exposure experienced this time of year.

The application of a broad-spectrum UVA and UVB sunscreen is very important, to protect the skin from harmful rays. Applying antioxidant-rich cosmeceuticals is another way to protect the skin against damage during the summer months.

Antioxidants can reduce the skin’s inflammatory response to UV rays and prevent the breakdown of collagen and elastin fibres – which can lead to a saggy and wrinkly appearance. Antioxidants also help to prevent sunburn and provide enhanced protection against photoaging.

UV rays are the main creators of free radicals in skin. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that steal energy from healthy cells, causing oxidative stress. Oxidative stress activates enzymes that break down collagen and damage the DNA of a cell, leading to premature skin aging.
